A downloader can successfully save a video while the file still feels like it “disappeared.” The usual reason is simple: the browser's download folder is not always the same as the photo library.

Safari downloads commonly go to a Downloads folder in either iCloud Drive or local device storage, depending on your settings.

When TikTok itself saves a video to your phone, the app may integrate directly with Photos/Gallery.
A normal browser follows its own file-download behavior.

Check whether the transfer really completed
